This is an exciting time in British politics. We have the opportunity to develop a positive, forward looking agenda that helps meet the big challenges our country faces, and helps make Britain a better place to live. You can play your part by joining the Conservative Party. The Conservatives are already the largest party in local Government, and Conservative Future is Britain’s largest and fastest–growing student body. David Cameron’s Conservative Party will be a voice for change, optimism and hope. It will be a party that represents everyone in Britain: wherever they live, whatever their race, religion, gender, sexuality or salary. We are a Party eager to rebuild and strengthen our society for the benefit of all.

Conservative
Party Principles What
are the beliefs that have united and inspired our Party over decades? Freedom.
We
believe in the right of each man and woman to use their own initiative and their
effort to better themselves – to be enterprising without a controlling state
snatching away the fruits of their achievement. Responsibility.
That
means a tough stand on law and order; it means upholding values and
institutions; and it means maintaining a firm stance on the defence of our
country. You cannot have freedom
without responsibility.
Opportunity
for all.
That
means making sure that the chance to do well is within everyone’s reach; that
ownership is more and more widely spread; that people know that they will be
cared for when they are weak - and that they are part of a society that welcomes
their contribution. A
few misconceptions about Conservative Party Membership “
But the Conservatives get their money from big business” UNTRUE.
Nearly all the money raised locally comes from membership subscriptions or
fundraising events organised by our members.
So every subscription, every raffle ticket sold, every successful coffee
morning is important to us. “I
don’t have the time” There
is no time commitment involved in being a member.
If you do not wish to do more, you can just pay a subscription, that in
itself is a valuable contribution. However
many members do decide to get more involved.
Some help raise money through social events.
Others deliver leaflets. Yet
others like to canvass for support.
So
the choice is yours But
first, the subscription is the important thing
